Our very good friend and ACC artist Christabel Blackburn has created a painting for The Financial Times to mark their centenary.  ‘Woman in Bermondsey’, was on display over the weekend as part of the FTWeekend Festival at Kenwood House, alongside a limited edition of 25 signed prints by the artist.

We are honoured to be able to offer 5 of these unique A3 prints and we predict a sell-out.

All proceeds will go to The Finacial Literacy and Inclusion Campaign (FLIC) the FT’s own charity:

'Financial resilience can be boosted enormously by understanding how money works in everyday life. Financial literacy education gives young people the foundations for future prosperity — and can help economically disadvantaged people out of deprivation. The FT invites readers to join the FT FLIC campaign to promote financial literacy in the UK and around the world.

Understanding basic finance has never been more important, financial literacy has been proven to increase social mobility and improve financial behaviour for individuals and communities.

It’s our aim to democratise financial education by providing free and engaging content to those who need it most: young people, women, and disenfranchised groups including minority ethnic communities and migrants.’ The FT

Christabel is an artist who specialises in the human form. Her strong sense of observation has enabled her to refine her technique by paring down detail yet still capturing the very essence of people in their environments. The intimacy she creates gives you a great sense of the people in the picture, their thoughts and their feelings.  Christabel won Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year in 2019. This limited edition print has been made from one of Christabel's most popular paintings and is exclusive to ACC.

This A3 print is presented on acid-free, archival cotton Photo Rag Giclée paper with a chalky smooth finish, from Hahnemühle the world’s oldest mill who have been producing fine art papers for more than 500 years.
