Laura Vargas Llanas is a Seville-based artist working under the creative name of Kanica. A collection of fibre and decorative pieces influenced by Modern Art, the Bauhaus Movement and mid-century design. Each piece is individually handcrafted in her studio with natural and ethically sourced fibres resulting in colourful and geometric works of art that embrace and revisit artisanal techniques with a strong design aesthetic.
Kanica is represented by galleries Wilo & Grove, Partnership Editions and Modern Art Hire and collaborates with renown interior designers, iconic London store Pentreath & Hall, and Art for Charity Collective.
