Carol Saunderson was born into a farming family in East Anglia. For over 25 years, her work as a painter has remained strongly connected to the land and its creatures. Walking in the landscape around her Suffolk home provides the inspiration for her paintings. She does not record exact scenes, focussing instead on atmosphere. With an emphasis on colour, light and composition, her semi-abstract works record moments of thought and experience.
During her career, her work has been exhibited at galleries around the UK. It has been reproduced as greetings cards and prints and appeared in magazines.
